Winter is coming…..okay, not really. Technically it’s summer.

While we eagerly await Sunday and the season 5 premiere of Game Of Thrones, let’s consider what we love most about the show. Costumes are great, the storylines are superb and the acting is second to none, but it’s the quotes that really stick out in our memories. Let’s take a look at some of the show’s best quotes, and remind ourselves that there are a lot more to come when we’re sitting down on Sunday with a cuppa tea and our eyes glued to Sky Atlantic.

“Tell your father I am here. Tell him the Lannisters aren’t the only ones who pay their debts.”

– Oberyn Martell.

“Ser Jorah, I don’t know how to say ‘thank you’ in Dothraki.”

“There is no word for ‘thank you’ in Dothraki.”

– Daenerys Targaryen and Ser Jorah Mormont.

“I have a tender spot in my heart for cripples, bastards and broken things.”

– Tyrion Lannister.

“There is only one thing we say to Death; not today.”

– Syrio Forel.

“You want to lead one day?! Then learn how to follow.”

– Lord Commander Jeor Mormont.

“Another golden rose, how original. I eat from plates stamped with golden roses, I sleep in sheets embroidered with roses and I have a golden rose painted on my chamber pot. As if that makes it smell any better.”

– Lady Olenna Tyrell.

“A naked man has few secrets – a flayed man, none.”

– Roose Bolton.

“Now, go drink until it feels like you did the right thing.”

– Bronn.

“Any man who must say ‘I am the king’ is no true king.”

– Tywin Lannister.

“I will answer injustice with justice.”

– Daenerys Targaryen.

“You know nothing, Jon Snow.”

– Ygritte.

“By what right does the wolf judge the lion? By what right?!?”

– Ser Jaime Lannister.

“If you think this has a happy ending, you haven’t been paying attention.”

– Ramsay Bolton.
